Severní Korea je zřejmě nejizolovanější zemí na světě, a přesto tam každý rok proudí tisíce zvědavých turistů. Na jedné straně svými návštěvami podporují místní režim finančně, ale na druhé straně alespoň navenek poznávají i zdejší poměry.
 
Fotograf Eric Lafforgue do Severní Koreje létal pravidelně a od roku 2008 se tam objevil už šestkrát, což mu postupem let umožnilo nasbírat tisíce snímků, které by samozřejmě ani neměly existovat. Ačkoliv byl Eric obyčejným turistou s fotoaparátem, vždy se mu podařilo nenápadně vytáhnout svůj objektiv a zachytit místa i lidi, aniž by si toho průvodci či policisté a vojáci všimli.
 
Díky své bohaté sbírce se stal fotograf mimořádně populární osobností a brzy si jeho záběrů všimla i severokorejská vláda, což nedopadlo dobře. Po roce 2012 se Eric do země už nedostal, protože ho vláda umístila na speciální seznam, a to jen proto, že odmítl fotografie stáhnout z internetu. Kromě jeho profilu na Instagramu určitě nezapomeň navštívit i webovou stránku, kde se dozvíš ještě více zajímavých informací.

Kumsusan Mausoleum, where the mummified body of Kim Il Sung is kept and shown to Visitors, was his former residence and office. Following his death in 1994, Kim Jong-il transformed the office into his father's Mausoleum. Deep inside the vast palace, the Great Leader's body lies viewable inside a crystal sarcophagus. No pictures are allowed. First you must access the memorial through a very long and entrenched corridor. Then, you must go thru a purification process:you have to walk onto a machine, which cleans your shoes. You must then go through an X Ray machine, and then enter a sort of wind tunnel that is supposed to remove all the dust that you may have on your clothes. The last step: you go through a giant door, looking like one you might find in a bank’s safe, and then finally get to the body in a crystal sarcophagus. School in pyongyang Visiting a school or kindergarden in North Korea is always a strange time, as you know everybody's waiting for you, and you know that everything is planned for any seconds you'll be inside. So it's like a race that starts: you have to stay for 2 minuts there, then 5 there (for a show for example), then again 2 minutes, just to see a sample of a a lesson about the glorious life of Kim Il Sung... On this picture, the kids were playing to guess the name of the animals. It was forbidden to help the one who was trying to find the answer, that's why the teacher is acting like this.
